I was working on a model, nothing out of the ordinary. I must have hit a quick key or shortcut, because now every object has a light gray thin wireframe mesh outline on it in viewport shading rendered mode.
What is even more odd is that this light gray wireframe is triangulated, even on objects that have no triangulation. It also doesn’t follow object edges at all.
I’ve tried searching Google, Stack Exchange, etc, without luck.
But I have no idea what could triangulate at the same time… as far as I can figure it would take 2 modifiers…or 1 modifier and the overlays…seems hard to do with just a click mistake!
That’s the thing though… It is visible on every single object in a detailed ship model I am building.
There are no shared modifiers between those objects and many of the objects are unique, i.e., they aren’t duplicates of other objects, clones, etc.
And like I said, it shows triangulation on faces that aren’t triangulated. When I select a face, it’s a normal polygon with no cross-cut.
It doesn’t appear to actually have any affect on modeling or rendering… But it makes it difficult to preview materials in render view because it makes them look like they have lights gray scratches all over them. Makes it hard to tell if the shader is off or if it’s just the line overlay.
