I have ubuntu 18.04 and an asus n61j.
I installed blender 3-4-1
that’s fine,
while I tried to download version 3.5 and also 3.6
and they don’t start.
what’s the problem?

try to launch it from the terminal you’ll very likely to get an error message that will provide guidance…
post it here if you need help to understand it !
properly libc version… Ubuntu 18 general support stops next month…
(on my debian 9 blender3.5 already needs libc 2.25 upp to 2.28 ?? → does not start)
and
Bionic Beaver supports up to 2.27…
Time to upgrade (for me too
