Blender (3.5) starts only when right clicking and selecting project?

Trying only to start blender-launcher.exe:

“Blender is not responding”

Selecting one project it will start, but slowly:

And after that sometimes it starts without project, but often it give this gray screen and “Blender is not responding”…

Is there some way to see what is the problem here? I tried other versions and the same issue…

The usual question:

  • Did you tried without any addons ?
  • Did you tried to read any logs or produce addition debug info ?

See also docs.blender crash :

More logs can be obtained by running Blender from Command Line and using --factory-startup --debug-all flags. See Launching from the Command Line and Command Line Arguments.

Or any more info about your sysyem or usage of former blender versions ??

Thanks. Blender version is 3.5.0, Windows 11, GPU AMD Radeon RX6900XT

*Addons are activated
*Now I tried, but can’t find any Blender-infos here (almost all folders are empty), :

Tried this

blender --factory-startup --debug-all

With that command it opens normally and fast.

blender.exe

With that it opens, but take some time more

clicking blender.exe

It doesn’t start at all usually.

Now one Blender working, and one is not reponding:

Try to download the newer 3.5.1 version

I tried.

No help. :fearful:

have you tried to update your gpu drivers?

Tried. Installed AMD PRO drivers now (There was installed Adrenalin edition).

But no helps. :pensive:

Does Blender connect to internet when starting? I though that I have only 0,5Mbs internet connection now. But if so it is then strange that sometimes it starts but often not…

Interesting question, frankly I have no idea. But can suppose that not.

Found something here:

Ok, thanks. Some add-ons need internet, but in startup… :face_with_diagonal_mouth:

Is there any way to see what is happening here in cmd or like when Linux starting?

Maybe I have missed something but have you tried to look into your log crash file?

Here you can find more information about this:
https://docs.blender.org/manual/en/3.5/troubleshooting/crash.html

Yes, but don’t find these in Windows temp-file. :expressionless:

So there is nothing like console which would show what is happening when starting?

It was some ADD-ON! Tested to disable some add-on groups, one by one. I think that maybe it was KitBash3d Cargo.

Glad you found it :smile_cat:
