Blender 3.x - Pose library and then?

Hello everyone,

I never did an animation using blender, only still images. But now I need a to get into animations using blender. I saw the new pose library in blender 3.x. There are many tutorials outside that show how to create new pose assets - that’s great.
But then? Lets say I have several poses in my pose librrary how to create an animation out of it? How can I use it to create an animation? Can I use it in the action editor? Or do I need to animate it using keys?
Thanks for any help…

Pose means just that - a pose. The character in some position. Its used to do things like store common hand poses. palm, fist, pointing. Or facial shapes like the mouths phonemes (look it up. Its shapes like ooh, or mmm). Or standard standing / sitting positions.
You will constantly call up the standing pose to begin some activity. And the shut mouth pose when a dialogue is over.
Make a new Action. Call a pose. Insert keyframe. Advance 60 frames, call another pose. Insert keyframe. Push the Action onto the NLA editor.
The NLA is like a video editor - throw in a bunch of clips (Actions), Give them repeats, blend between them…

The Pose Library is now totally superceded by the asset library. In newer versions of Blender the pose library is just a message saying it has been replaced. So at some stage any poses will need to be converted to assets. I believe there is a converter comes with blender to make that easier. I may be wrong - it may be a converter for something else.
Or is asset library what you meant by “new pose library” ???
