I’m trying to render a simple particle animation using eevee. Motion blur enabled and baked.
1k resolution, 100 frames.
Blender crashes within 5 frames rendered.
Any solutions?

Hi and welcome back.
We need more info the spec of your machine and a screen shot of your particle simulation and setting. Try reducing the amount of particles? Switch off motion blur?
The hardware specifications haven’t been released, so it’s not exact, but
Due to insufficient memory, crashes can occur after a certain frame.
There is also a way to test by reducing the amount of particles.
Open blender 5.2.
Leave everything as is and apply particle system to the cube. Particles set as cubes.
Set frames to 100 and render using eevee. No settings changed. No motion blur. Blender crashes.
Even after using all the options, it proceeds without any issues for me.
In my opinion, it seems more like a hardware issue rather than a blender problem.
We recommend reinstalling the GPU driver as the Studio driver.
Alternatively, if you attach the problematic file, you can test it.
If the same problem occurs, you can also try identifying the cause.
It is difficult to make a definitive judgment, as there may also be addon-related issues.
Thank you for your support with this. i will need some time to trouble shoot and will revert once I have some feedback.
Right, Ill have a test with Vulkan,
You may want to try switching back to openGL and see if that helps?
Ok. I tried OpenGL. Still crashes, although it did render a lot more frames.
Attached crash log file. I don’t quite understand its contents.
blender.crash.txt (67.1 KB)
Worked with Vulkan. on 4070
Is the drive you are rendering to full?
Have you factory reset and tried? (as suggested)
Drive still has 120GB free.
I did not try factory reset. Will give that a go.
Factory reset has solved the issue.
I cannot say for sure that this is directly related to the current issue, but using both the CPU and GPU together is not a good choice.
The GPU speed gets locked to the CPU speed.
This might be an issue specific to Cycles, but it would be best to uncheck it.
Also, try switching to OpenGL and testing.
Vulkan can still be unstable at times.
