Blender and MD3s

I’m working on an open-source game that utilizes the md3 format for its models and I’ve been using blender for the modeling. Well, using is a subjective term, as anyone who’s seen my entry in the WIP thread can attest to, but anyway, I export via 3DWin4 to Milkshape to produce an MD3 and I’m wondering:

Are there any MD3 export scripts written for Blender?

Is this the best course of action or does Blender end up being the proverbial sledgehammer for the fly solution?

Are there any tutorials/sites that are directed toward this aspect of modeling in Blender (Low poly game modeling instead of hi quality 3D)?
