Inspired by a single image from the South Korean series “As You Stood By” (by Lee Jeong-lim) - and upon discovering the “Backrooms” phenomenon - I wanted to create this small interior scene, followed by an animation. // Cycles rendering engine.
Post-processing done entirely within the Blender Compositor: I ran into a slight issue with my “fog” effect (created using “Mist” passes) while the camera is moving… But I don’t want to have to re-render the whole scene just to fix the method (such as by adding “volume scatter” to the background, which would significantly increase render times). Especially given my hardware: an i5 processor and an Nvidia GTX 1650 graphics card.

P.S.: To do an even better job, I should have added the viewer’s breathing - and perhaps a soft “F…k!” - to the soundtrack, which I edited using Blender’s very handy Video Editor (here, v.5.0.0).
[In French, that would be “Pu…n!”. But I’ve started getting used to the famous Korean “Aish!” - not to mention that other word one shouldn’t say “S…al!”. I get the impression that the threshold for accepting profanity is lower in South Korea than it is in France - or at least, lower than in the French lifestyle I’m familiar with. Which suggests one should be a bit wary of picking up bad habits from movies and K-dramas [?] I say this without any particular sense of pride, but also bearing in mind what one hears in cinema even in video games… In the past, television programs had their famous “white square” symbol… «Autres temps, autres mœurs.», as the saying goes.] [I’m going to go reflect on why I’m talking about this sort of thing here.]
