Blender Art Portfolio from 6th grade to 12th grade

Since I’m going off to college, I though I should probably make a video of the works I’ve done since i started using blender in 6th grade, but just the ones I thought were cool at some point in time. Most of them are done in blender 3d, but i used combinations of software for most of the later ones (though they aren’t rendered with any other 3d software that isn’t blender), and some are handdrawn images.

plz watch and enjoy, this is like my life’s work  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y38CzDRAaME
^^^^^^^^^THIS IS THE PORTFOLIO VIDEO (IN THE ABOVE LINE^^) NOT THE BELOW IMAGE^^^^^^^^^
edit: im gonna see if i can make a thumbnail show up to attract more attention, the image is just one of my works

no one’s got any comments? I spent forever making this video (about 6 years technically) it took me about a week to put it all together.

well, I watched it all the way through. It’s interesting seeing the progression of skill level through the years, but I would definitely trim it down a lot if you’re considering this to be a demo reel.

I liked the play posters the best, I remember seeing the WIP for the first one a while back.

Nice. The journey from inception to present state is nice. I particularly enjoyed the slow-mo particle animations, and that blue block fella crashing through the wall. Pretty intense. But some of the renders from 2010 onwards looks like the older ones, not much different from what you had earlier than that. When I saw the bike and guitar scene with all those neons signs, I was expecting a sudden jump in quality. That was a really nice render. But it kinda went away like a heartbeat :frowning:

And that snow white stuff is pretty trippy

lol sorry i think bike and guitar may have been my best work (i spent about 2 months on it too, more than i spent on any other work) and the works are organized by year. thanks for the feedback though!

Its nice to see your progression in skill level, but as agentmilo said expectations went up after that bike scene.

I would suggest making an actual reel. Not a progression, but but only your best work.
I did like your camera work throughout out he video, splendid job on that!

Good work
Are you going to continue with 3D animation in college?

@ ldh1109 yeah ill be doing game design in college, thanks for the feedback!
@ DDD i kinda just wanted to collect and organize my works by year, if i make a reel it would be for a future job
