Blender Bug - object loses correct path to texture

I have used many different builds (all win 32) but I have noticed that pretty frequently when Blender crashes and I reload the scene - the path to the texture gets corrupted - for example

the path should be

C:\Users\Brenner\Downloads\earthmap1k.jpg

but blender shows it as

//…\Users\Brenner\Downloads\earthmap1k.jpg

I don’t really know much about blender bug reporting - that’s why I’m posting it here…

Anyone else have the same problem?
