Okay. So I was messing around with Suzzane and mirrored the head so it had a face on the back too and I thought “That looks like a sword hilt!” so I quickly made a sword and finally ended up with this. It needs some work but here it is so far.
A coat of arms usually has alternating colors in it’s sections.
@slitharg, I think it looks great. There is some kind of lighting/normals issue on the sword tips. And I do think the red area could be rethought. All in all, I like what your doing with it.

Yes. It is actually brown, but especially in the small image, to my eye, the small monkey heads impart a reddish cast. While I’m not fully familiar with the it all, I’m sure that the images on the shield are supposed to, through colors and images, identify the owner. I can’t necessarily say how that identification should appear for Blender, but I think it’d be better if you kinda jazzed it up some.

@BentFX Well I didn’t actually mean for this to be a coat of arms I really meant for it to be more of just a decorative sword rack wall decoration. But I see what you mean.
Nice idea, reminds me of the article of Blender on uncyclopedia: The holy Suzanne… 
The material on the central monkey is indeed a bit weird. The small monkeys are a bit distracting, because it still should be possible to recognise it at a distance.
