Hi,
I’m really getting annoyed about the following problem. It’s happened twice today already!
While rigging some animation characters, blender crashed. This began happening when I decided to put my characted mesh to be the “master” of the location, so that the rig is a “Child of” the mesh, and the mesh is deformed by the rig. After a while when I got started rigging a new character with the above configuration, blender crashed, and the file can’t be opened normally anymore. I can append/link anything else from the file, but if I attempt to append either the character being edited or his rig, blender crashes again.
Since I decided to rip some objects from a .blend file with various scenes and an Objects-scene, I’ve had a some kind of backup of the objects. Now I’ve lost some work again because of this annoying crash bug.
Is it possible to remove the constraints/modifiers from the objects that cause the crash without opening them in Blender? And is there a way to fix this crash at once? Even though I have a good computer, Blender occasionally crashes.
Try the file yourself:
