i personally have over 300 blender files i start one model get frustraded with it and start a new one…
Well I’ve only been using Blender around 2 months now, so somewhere between 50 and 100. I save several files of a project at different development stages so I can backtrack, this process accounts for most of my files 
why is this in wip?

At my last count I have 685 .Blend files. Started Blending 24th October 2002.
Soon I shall have to put them onto CDrom to save some disk space. My Blender HDD has diminished from 6GB to 1.2GB since starting.

The first version of Blender I downloaded was 1.7, I think, but I don’t have any files left over from those days.

Ahem, that does include rendered images saved too.
My top 3 .Blend file sizes are:- 44.2MB, 34.5MB and 27.2MB. I seem to like them large. :-?

i used ot have around 300 but i cleaned out my copmputer and got it down to 50 or so, however, i lost a bunch… really mad. a lot of my spaceships went Bye bye.
