Blender File Structure & How to Install Multiple Versions of Blender on the Same Machine

I’m interested in being able to run more than one version of Blender on the same machine. I installed Blender in the default location for Windows 7, that is: C:\Program Files\Blender Foundation\blender.exe. As I’ve had this installation for awhile, there are three subfolders: 2.71, 2.73, and 2.79. Are these earlier version files retained only to keep any addon files? If so, how does one install multiple versions of Blender?

you can install on win sys only one BL version
all other version would be local SVN

which you have to start independtly then load file in it.

happy bl

I have found that one can indeed install multiple versions of Blender on the same system. I wasn’t sure about the original answer as I had just watched a tutorial introducing the new features in Blender 2.8 which switched between 2.80 and 2.79 several times. So I searched the web and found an earlier query on the same subject.

See the link below if you wish to have multiple versions of Blender on the same Windows system.
