Blender fluid looks Blocky!

Earlier today I was working on making some realistic water finally. When I baked the fluid and watched the animation, the fluid appeared to be made of blocks. I could explain it by saying whenever there is a decrease in elevation, which there is in water a lot, it wasn’t a smooth angle. Instead it turned out to make vertical drops every time there was a decrease or increase in elevation. Nothing was smooth and no circles were created from the splashes, just ugly boxes. If anyone has any idea on how to fix this I would be very pleased!

The first thing to try is turning Set Smooth on from the editing panel and increase the resolution figure in the domain settings. I’d also suggest do a forum search for something like ‘fluidsim’ as this question gets asked a lot, so there are already lots of suggestions on how to make fluids look better.
