Blender Fluid Simulation … Small Misbehavior … Ghost Fluid
To a large extent my Blender Fluid Simulation BFS works.
I used meshes created from extruded fonts that were converted into meshes.
In some cases I tried to remove double from these converted meshes.
These (font) meshes are the obstacles.
I used various spheres as the water inflow.
However when I created 2 vertical tiers of meshes with spaces in between, the top tier looks much better than the second below. I got these horizontal collections of fluid on the second tier which is lower than the first. The shape on bottom of fluid is very straight … not curved. As though a horizontal cube is there … a ghost .
Of course some of the meshes have areas of clearly visible straight edges but … the ghost liquid is not touching them … it is simply near them with spanning bridges in the horizontal direction that are not consistent with viscosity IMHO. Casual inspection can see this visible <curiosity>.
I can take wild guesses. Such as Blender is created bounding boxes for some part of the mesh.
Is this a known defect or beginners booby trap to delight advanced users???
