I am trying to set up a very simple scene with a snowball rolling down a hill. when i go into the blender game engine and make the ball static with a spherical collision box and press the “P” key to play it, blender freezes and i have to force quit out of it. I did some googling but all i could find were people saying to update graphic card drivers, but i can’t because i am on a mac. i already checked software update and installed all updates which didn’t help. also this is my first time using the game engine on this computer.
My specs:
Mac mini 2011
Mac OSX Lion 10.7.2
Radeon HD 6630M 256mb dedicated graphics card.
Impossible to update graphics drivers on a mac. Typical.
Sorry, can’t help. It’s probably your graphics card. Just by a whole new machine every time you do an update I guess. Mac will be happy. Sorry, bad mood. But I find that silly beyond words.
You may have to re-install Blender again, I had to on my Sony XP 2000 and it worked. (Btw no offense but Macs suck in somethings, but they cant get viruses)
and i have already tried reinstalling and also using a different vernon from graphical. both did not work. I a going to hop over on bootcamp and try it there.
and @3dmedieval, if you find me silly beyond words, then go ahead and think that. I don’t use macs because i don’t know how to use a pc, i use it because its known as a design industry standard and there are tons of things that make multitasking easier such as expose and dashboard. I don’t find this thing silly at all considering it can run Skyrim on high settings fine, It’s a solid computer.
