ive been thinking of making a proper blender gallery for some time now. and im planning to use the content management system im making together with my friend (http://www.mycgiserver.com/~tomhebel/coen_intro/) if we ever get it done - the gallery module would be like a cross between deviantart and the postnuke gallery module…heres a logo that i made in about 5 min today. crits and ideas for the gallery please… :Z

its alright but not really a “logo” more text on a folder tab… not much to crit either with out it implimented on a nice layout 
I think it should pose the blender colors looks decent though

For sure, a blender gallery is always a good idea considering the quality of work out there. Good work on the logo, Tom.

Blendermax; good logo, only crits is what these others have said, more of Blender’s core colours, less yellow.
Easy man. Download *.tar and browse it inside. I meant nothing more than to show simple example of “postnuke” style of logo made with the gimp [didn’t think about PHP nuke, Postnuke, Panda, an other *php and mysql based systems ].

thanks burt.s., and thanks to the rest of you too. i thought people had forgot about this thread but no! - ill try to make the logo more like a proper logo. it was done in like 5 minutes cause this idea just popped into my head, so it wasnt really anything planned.

everyone use it, the most horrible is, when it’s pointing northeast or something like that… but … arrow… why arrow?

too yellow it is. softer colors it needs. hmmmmm. and i agree about the arrow being out of place as well. On the whole, looks pretty good. Can’t have too many Blender resources.
