Does it use the 2.42 build?

It crashed on my compy.

EDIT: I answered my own question. I did something like this a while back and got some pretty good results. The thing that got me was that when I tried to implement it, I parented it to a bone and it completely skewed.

yeah, afterf a second or so it crashes, nice effect though.

it’s not crashing for me. and it looks pretty good, although the afterglow there is kinda spaced out, so it doesnt look like one big streak of color

also, how did you get the textures to be transparent?

the saber color is a very low res texture made in paint. To make it glowy+transparent I used the Add option(you’ve got three, opaque, add and alpha, see the edit buttons when in Face Select Mode)
It’s not crashing here, the build shouldn’t be a problem because the functions where already existing since 2.36 I think(I use 2.42)

I know the afterglow is weird, but it is an afterglow right!?
If someone knows how to connect the afterglow meshes, please tell me!

By the way:
The crashing problem shouldn’t be a CPU problem because my PC is 500 MHZ 256 RAM 256 Video Memory!!

No, he means he ISN’T using the build which makes it crash, just like my pc.
