This is something that has been bugging me for quite some time.
As the game exporter is now, when you go to save your game as a game engine runtime, you can only save it as a runtime for the OS you’re currently using.
one of the advancements I would like to see in the GE is some more advanced options for the game exporter, first of which would be the ability to save a runtime for any operating system blender can run on, as well as maybe some options for default settings, like resolution, fullscreen or windowed, etc. and also maybe a “copy external files into runtime” option.
now I have no idea how complicated this would be, but I know other engines can do it (unity, for example) and tbh the fact that blender can’t seems silly, since blender itself runs on so many operating systems.
Is this something that could foreseeably be done?
