I am absolute beginner so this was really a good opportunity. What I learned from this:
-Using Blender internal for glass material (I simply don’t have computing power to use cycles for images like this one)
-Figured out what IOR values are.
-Modelling bottles, mini nuke, caps, bullets and Mister Handy and his saw.
-Texturing
-Using normal / bump map
-Using lights
-Using composite nodes for depth of field, camera effects etc.
(I done everything in Blender from scratch, including the dirty atmosphere, the camera effect and even the text at the corner. I can credit textures if needed, all of them are free to use)
Here’s my entry. Worms was one of favorite games back in the day so had to create a scene By doing this, I’m learning how designing an idea on paper and sticking with it is the most important step. If you look at my wip thread, I changed my idea about the composition so many times >_< Anyways I’m always trying to improve my skills and workflow
The image is of the GT by Citroen, which is a road car designed by Citroen in conjuction with Polyphony Digital the creators of Gran Turismo, my favorite VG ever. Figuring the car carries the name of the game, i thought it would make a good choice for a car render for the competition. The car was placed on an interpretation of one of the tracks from Gran Turismo 5.

For my first Real Blender image, I think i did pretty good. There is still lots to fix, but learned about 10 times what I knew to start.
This is my first complete render. Thanks Andrew for enabling me to do this with your great tutorials and for encouraging me to keep at it with this competition.
I hope I did not miss the theme. I read some comments that said, that only existing video games are allowed - I did not read this clue from the rules. But it was way to late to change my concept, so I decided to post it hoping it will not be disqualified.
Yes I used photoshop for the smoke and fire effect, because as far as i know it not possible to do in blende cycles at the time being! Some color processing aswell.
I learned a ton of things from making this. I did not set the goal to win but to, well learn
Thank you Andrew for Making this tutorial
Constructive chriticism is very welcome!
I used to play this at the local cinema. I might refine and report in place but time’s a running out so I thought I would get it in here rather than miss the opportunity.
