This animation highlights a number of accomplishments that resulted from the Consortium for Advanced Simulation of Light Water Reactors, or CASL. This 10-year initiative allowed researchers to develop the VERA software suite, which can simulate the operation of an entire reactor down to the characteristics of a single fuel rod. The colorful data visualizations that VERA generates are stunning, therefore I made an effort to integrate real data into the animation.
