I’ve got a weird problem, I just started running a McAfee firewall on my computer, and it seems to really affect the way Blender runs. When the firewall is running there is a huge lag in blender. Up to 10 or 15 seconds before menus show up after clicking. If I shut off the filter, blender goes back to normal. Also, it only happens when I run 2.27 and 2.28, earlier versions don’t lag at all. The problem is that I’m on a college network, and if I don’t have the firewall running all the time I’m subject to viruses that are wreaking havoc on the network. Any ideas why blender is running like this?

I would just disconnect from the network when Blending. NOTHING is worth having Blender slow down!
