Here’s a quicky project I did about an hour ago. It’s a bunch of smaller blender logos, hovering around a bigger one.
It’s not overly impressive, but I really like how it turned out :D. I think it’d make a cool desktop background (rendered at 1200x800). What do you guys think?
looks pretty nice, was this with the internal render, thought what it would look like with yafray.
Another idea for you, (Im full of them at the moment)
Have you seen a wallpaper for windows XP where the 4 coloured rectangular is a wave of glass balancing on the floor, maybe you could do the same and have the blender icon slightly curved either using a lattice or curve deforme(?)
Then shine light through it and have the colour on the ground as well. Have the ground as white plaster and It would look amazing…
The edges of your logos look a bit too sharp IMO. Maybe you could bevel them a bit. I also thought that the whole picture is somewhat busy, maybe you could consider removing some blender logos. And a last thing I would try, is rendering the whole in yafray with photons, caustics etc. You might obtain some nice effects.
Yeah, I know. I made it using the curves tool (I know it probably could have been done differently, but I wanted to practice using curves)- but the thing is, I couldn’t figure out how to make bars connected with the circle…
