Blender? More "renderer" or "modeler?"

I’m quite new to using Blender and any 3D software for that matter. I’m getting around ok and keep making more and more complex objects/models/3D-whatever-you-call-it.

I’m going to try and create a model to use in a game I have, and I was wondering:

Is Blender used more for rendering, or more for modeling? Example, rendering creates cool animation/cut-scenes/movies, etc. Modeling makes characters/buildings/items for your fravorite game…

Which is Blender strong at? Used for both posibly? What other programs are out there that I can use to do things that Blender may not be able to do?

Thanks for helping “teh noob.”

Think “BLENDer”!

Ugg, can you move this to the general discussion.

Leave it to “teh noob” to post in the wrong place. :frowning:

Okey!

I moved it by your request, and good that you discovered it yourself, not all people notice it

well, otherwise I would have locked it if it weren’t you who wanted it to be moved…

well now I have relocated it to “Blender General” as you see…

cheers! and welcome to our community! Blend on!

I use blender to make 3D art stills, soon i plan on using it for animation but not yet.

Hmm another post moved by Ztonzy i hope the power hasnt gone to your head

Hmm, judging from his eyes, I would say it has.

Thx for the move.

What about animations for models? Anyone made animated models for games with Blender?
