I love blender. And since I’ve gotten into compositing with Nuke lately, I also really like Natron. Since development on Natron has stalled as of late, what’s stopping the Blender foundation from either getting rid of the blender compositor and replacing it with Natron code (since it’s open source), or at least joining forces and supporting Natron’s development?
Granted, I don’t know how any of this works, but I see no good reason why Natron has to die when it has such strong foundation and noble purpose.

Well according to this article (http://libregraphicsworld.org/blog/entry/the-demise-of-natron) neither of the original 2 guys are working on it much anymore, and according to the official site, Inria no longer supports the project. So by all the signs I see, development has pretty much stalled, which I think is a very sad thing.
