Blender NURBS?

recently ive been messing around with maya and looking over some nurb tutorials. since maya seems a little bit to complex for me right now i was wondering if blender supported the same nurb functionality and control as maya has with its nurbs?

just thought i would say that just incase! this car isnt from the tutorial but it was created using maya, could i do this on blender?

(p.s. ive attempted at a car in blender with nurbs but i dont know any of the tools or anything and i am also wondering wether or not it would be worth learning the tools, but first i would like to know if it supports these types of features)

it would be a huge pain to do that in blender using nurbs because blender doesn’t have any way to stitch nurbs patches of different resolutions

In blender you would use subsurfs for projects like the one you have linked too.

the car state shown in the picture is easilly achieved with Blender Nurbs
The problem is to add details after
Blender don’t have editing Nurbs tools ( trim and others)
But you can always convert to Mesh and add details

greybeard: i would usaully use subsurf but for when making a car like that it becomes really hard to edit since you have to have a lot of edge loops etc

does any one know if tools that allow you to edit nurbs etc like in maya will be added to blender?
