Blender on IBM's Power Architecture?

Since IBM opened up it’s standard of the Power Architecture processors some time ago, and other vendors started to make motherboards for those chips (http://www.enterprisetech.com/2014/10/08/tyan-ships-first-non-ibm-power8-server/), did anyone give Blender a go with such a system, and survived to tell about it?

I’m curious, since those things are known for carrying awesome digit-crunching firepower (and being huge voltage hogs too).
