Blender on macOS

Hello, I am a newby on Blender, I try to learn. It is a little special for a mac user.

In the file window, did exist some shortcuts like favorites, alias or recent folders ? Or is it possible to use the mac selector ?

When you append, is it possible to import several items in the same time ?

I have plenty of unused materials in my files, I would like to erase some. I understand that when I save a file the unused materials are deleted. This not append on my system. Did I miss something ?

Sorry for my bad english. Thank you.

yes, yes, no

recent folders are lost when you close blender, and you can add entries to the dropdown [hit the button below the “P” button in the file selector] by editing a file I forget the name of.

yes, you select multiple datablocks with the right mouse button

when a material is unused it will show up in dropdown with a 0 in front of the name [indiciating it has zero users]

Thank you for your reply

For the multiselection of datablock, I was confused by right/left mouse button. Thank again.

About material, sometime it’s work, sometime no, and I don’t understand why…

Do you know where I can find reference to the file “add entries to the dropdown [hit the button below the “P” button in the file selector] by editing a file I forget the name” ?
