It looks like some script kiddies got a hold of the Blender.org site. Any news on when it will be back up?

Dunno if it’s fair to brand the guy/girl a script kiddie. Easier, I know, to belittle him but there aren’t many prewritten scripts to chop a secure website. Blender.org or their designer/host goofed and this person exploited it.

I too miss the links to the dev. builds/ the dev. forums. Fortunately projects.blender.org is stil up though…
I tried the link also, and it didn’t work for me either. It took me to the blender3d 404 page.
when I type in blender.org it also takes me to www.blender.org/cms/home.2.0.html with the same home page as www.blender3d.org/com/home.2.0.html.
Hopefully it will be back up soon!

I’ve tried all those links. I get connection refused. Seems the server itself is completely down, and the port 80 is set to reject.
hmm… looks like the system is down, was this planned? why would some scripter go for blender anyway? maybe is Alias and friends striking back… meh… it should be over in a bit, scripts can only run for so long before the police take notice…

Indeed we are experiencing problems with the blender.org website. We’ll most likely come to a decision tomorrow on what to do with that and hopefully at least part of the website will come online again tomorrow.
Currently all traffic from blender.org is being redirected to blender3d.org though.
Anyone have a backup link to the Python API??
I’m fighting with vertex editing, and am really in the dark without the API, and never thought to save it out

There’s been a lot of chatter about the holes in phpNuke (by the look of blender3d.org, that was the issue at blender.org). I assume that doesn’t affect elYsiun - it uses phpBB, right?
it sux that someone exploited the phpnuke stuff, but i do have to say the new look is really cool.
