Blender posters?

Does anyone know where I can get posters of renders done in blender? The only one I know is the sintel poster from blender foundation, but I would love to have some more on my walls.

Probably thats the only blender related poster available on the planet earth, but asking doesn’t hurt

Well… maybe the Mango team will make some ? One of that cool robot that makes the splash of 2.63 would be nice in fact !

yes, something like that would be amazing. What I would like most, is a poster with almost no additional graphics on top of the render. I don’t like the sintel poster because it has so much text and other stuff on the render. A small blender.org watermark in the bottom corner would be ok.

Hey, you could try to print this one:

It’s not very hi-res (2048x1024), but still a good start !

thats a bit too low res… looks quite grainy on my monitor, so when I print it on A3 page it will look terrible. I would need 3508*4961 pixels for A3 print, and twice that for A2

Grainy on your monitor ? What kind of monitor do you have ? It’s better than HD: 1920×1080
What you state looks like 300dpi, but I don’t think posters are always 300dpi as they are meant to be seen from a distance.

But yes, it is still not enough. Maybe ask the Mango team if they tried it in 4K ?

My monitors are 1920x1080, and it looks, ok, but when I simulate a print size on my screen (view the image scaled to the size it would be when printed) it becomes a bit grainy. I am not saying it is bad, but would be cool to have a 300dpi glossy A2 print
If I got a render image that big, I would print it out on a high quality A2 poster paper. Would be amazing

I think mango team are pretty busy atm, so I wouldn’t want to bother them with requests of highres renders. They made a poster size render of big buck bunny, so I guess they will do the same with project mango too, when it is done.

Edit: does anyone know any really high resolution renders by other blender artists aside from blender foundation?

What for?
From 1m distance you can’t tell if its 150 or 300 dpi and a bit further and 72 dpi is ok as well.

Scaled down - it looks pretty good. At print rez on my MacBookPro, it looks very grainy. Assuming the grain wasn’t added deliberately in composition, perhaps the scene could be thrown at a spare render machine at Mango HQ? I think they’re still in the filming stage, so the render-farm is probably mostly free at the moment.

A poster-sized, print-res image of the robot would be pretty awesome hanging up at conferences, local Blender meet-ups, etc.

I wouldn’t mind a mango poster!

Just get permission from any artists you want posters from and make your own online. Honestly if my art was so good you wanted to print a poster, I couldn’t say no. That may not go for everyone though.

For $100, I’ll send you a high-quality poster of one of my works. How about it?

Need a blender (movie) poster ?

Look here

The problem with posters is that you can’t put them in an envelope… a rolled poster is still quite a large thing for mail services… thus… shipping is relatively expensive.

Rocketman… tempting… very tempting

what about these  ? http://www.artflakes.com/en/shop/bart-deruyter

These are probably not blender

Found this site: http://www.posterjack.co.uk/poster
Will be getting some for sure when I find very high res blender renders.

There are tons of services out there that will let you upload an image and make you a poster in 24x36 (and larger) glossy print and ship it to you in a tube at very reasonable prices.

Then all you need is some nice, large renders that you are allowed to print for your own use

Of course I didn’t see the last post from you before I posted, duh

@Andrius.B : it is blender for sure. I admit, I added text in inkscape and some image correction in Gimp.

I was just about to say the same thing

I should get this on my wall http://www.blendernation.com/wp-content/uploads/2006/02/Jon-Duran.png
