Blender quick tip: Simple way for quad capping a cylinder

A few days ago, a guy in one of my groups asked how to fill a cylinder end with quads only…there was a long discussion. But after some time I realized it is very simple! Here is how you can do it within seconds!

Face -> Grid Fill it and inset it. Or fill it with an n-gon, inset it, delete the inner selection and grid fill it back. Former will work nicely for 8 verts. Latter for more. No need for manual cutting or Loop Tools.

EDIT: shoutout for RCS though

thanks Stan…actually that loop tools part is completely optional…I just like it that way
