I just downloaded Blender 2.37 because I have Mac OS X 10.2.8 and when I click the application Blender in the download folder it launches and then quits within about 4 seconds. I’d really like to use Blender but I have no idea how to start it. Thanks.
Well at least people are helpful here.
There are hundreds of things that could go wrong. I don’t know any thing about Macs, and I think others will need a bit more information.
Sorry I cannot help you.
Could you post your Mac’s specs (outside of OS?)? Hardware, etc.
Also look for a program (should come default with Macs) called Console. Open that up and see what the output related to Blender is (you may have to clear the console and then start up blender). I assume there was Console on 10.2 (I’m on 10.4), if there is not, open up the similar application (which hopefully there should be one).
Here’s the crash log.

Continuing happily.

Also, it’s a G3 if that helps.
Can someone please direct me to somewhere where I can get help for my problem?
