Ya, only a few minutes to get up and running, couple of months, to figure out the interface, couple more months to give in and register here and before ya know it you’ve made a cube. 
Hrm… oddness. Anyone know who controls the desc., indexes, etc.? Does the Blender Foundation do that, or Tucows do it all themselves?
Several reasons, first, they only show the Linux verson, none of the others (Windows, OS X, FreeBSD, Irix, Solaris, and others if you can compile the source and get it to work). So, anyone looking for this type of software for the other OSs (mostly Windows and Mac) would never find it that way.
Second, the searching sucks. None of the following searches under all, or just Linux will return blender: 3d, animation, modeling, and rendering (gets lots of web browers, and RH8.0, but no Blender). All 4 terms are in the one-line description on tucows. Of all the terms in the desc, only a search on “blender” itself will give you Blender. At least it’s buried in the categories under “3d modeling”, though a search of “3d modeling” doesn’t do it either.
