So I’m still new to Blender so I don’t know how I can fix this, but I was attempting to render a picture of a model I made and it’s just showing up as a black silhouette. I had rendered pictures of the same model before but I didn’t know what I was doing at the time and now I’m even more confused haha!
I do have a light and a camera and all that junk but yet, this is what I get.
Screenshot of the full interface is good but you should get used to uploading an example .blend that demonstrates the problem. Tutorial linked in my signature shows how.
Don’t need to upload everything either. In this case the problem is that the model won’t render so the same problem would happen with only some part of the model. But by uploading that part the file includes the scene setup, render settings, render layer settings, world settings, materials, textures if included. It would give the information you don’t know to include, and provides others quick means to answer you with visuals.
For example, the screenshot shows information you probably didn’t plan to include. At some point you’ve selected a preset which has a non-uniform pixel aspect ratio, then changed the dimensions. If you don’t plan to target a specific device/format that uses the set pixel aspect ratio but want to display it on a computer screen, should have it at 1:1. So for full hd resolution that would be the HDTV 1080p preset, which sets the resolution to 1920x1080 @ 100% and aspect ratio of 1:1.
