Blender running Slow

I’m running Win2000 on a 450 Mz Athlon with 128 MB of RAM, and a GeForce 2 video card, and I updated the drivers. This is what happens:

I run Blender and immediately Blender freezes, then unfreezes for a second, then freezes for 3 seconds, then unfreezes, etc.

Anyone know how to fix this?

Try shutting off International Font support by dragging the bar down that separates the view window from the menu bar at the top of the screen.

Okay, I tried that and it didn’t work. Still freezing and unfreezing.

So I uninstalled it and installed v2.25 and it’s working fine. Funny, it wasn’t before (that is before installing v2.27, v2.25 was doing the same thing). I think it’s time to get a faster computer.

Thanks for your help. I had no idea that you can pull down the bar like that.

A lot of very important settings are stored up there. Take a look through all of them. Adjust your autosave and temp directories etc. Very good stuff, and a good place to keep it at that.
