At first i would have said the melted metal, but i noticed the toon shaded one and it rocks. Im not a big fan of toon shading, but that looks really good.
I also like your shiney plastic, it looks like it could be a great material for tight black latex… Now what would i model that would include black latex… hehe

Jolly Gnome: fake GI is good, but I need to work on it somemore, I want to make it so it has the look of real GI but you can use a lamp to guide the shading, it worked but I’m still tweeking it… thinks

I work mostly on maya, in maya what I am doing would be called shaders were you use procudural maps and material properties to make ( shaders ) so I’m not sure what you mean…
