Blender Shop for commercial games?

an idea: donation of this project
of course I think the developers will make donation, not the game buyers

That’s called ‘copyright’.

Unless you specify otherwise you have exclusive rights to the distribution of your game assets.

I think this is a good idea. Me and my team are looking for a site to sell our game on. And there is also the new ravenswood game. I think this could work!!

Maybe we dont need blender.org for this. Somebody can make a webshop independetly. I think this can be a good busines too.

Probably need a poll to decide, I vote for Endi to make the e-shop.

Looks interesting .

I think this is best for us

boring people of the western civilisations…

So no poll then?

So whats going to happen?

I think we should have a community like for game maker. that would bring allot of visitors around.

Maybe we can make a game review page for BGE games or games that uses Blender for anything.
We must review only really good and serious projects that are commercial or can be commercial game in future.

Yes I agree how are you going to be doing that?

I think we can start to collect the games in this topic.
For example the Color Cube is the first and excellent example! Very good in technical, art and in gameplay: http://blenderartists.org/forum/showthread.php?t=188779

And this, but I have try it only once: http://www.boro-toro.co.nr/

I think you should first make the website, than advertise that your putting games on it on a BA thread and other forums. Don’t recruit games before the website is started.

I think we can collect some games and talk about these games.
A review site of “good Blender games” must be contains really good games that can be commercial products.

Didn’t Plantperson do a review of Blender games back in the day? Wouldn’t be hard for someone to start a blog up, once it got going people could submit games for review.

What’s “Blender Shop” ?

http://www.blender3d.org/e-shop/

Oh, so Blender games could be sold via single portal? I’ve yet to see a commercial Blender game though. The one that works on Win, Mac and Linux and is a good game.

EDIT: It’s a good idea, but why should it be limited to games that utilize BGE?

I think that is a great idea to start collecting games in this thread.
I think I am going to get started on my game today.

I think we shouldn’t just limit it to games using the game engine but for example if anyone modelled the game using blender could post too since they have used blender. this would open up a wide area for people to submit games.
I would maybe buy a domain name and a place to host the site but first I will need to get a bit of money to do so.

I think we dont need a webshop for first. We can link games that already on a webshop (like that Colorcube), or iPhone games on Appstore.

The quality assurance is the most important I think. Bad, buggy and amateur games are the death of a game shop.
