I’m not sure why, but recently, Blender has started to give me a weird screen -
whenever I hover over a button. I thought it may have been my graphics card (Ati x1600 Pro 512mb), but I’ve tried zBrush and Maya, and neither of those are giving me any issues.
I’ve tried changing settings through my video card (both ATI Tray tools and Catalyst) and I can’t seem to figure it out. It occasionally still works, but it doesn’t seem to be limited to only one Blender. I’ve gotten a CVS version and alas, it still gives me the diagonal screen.
No, it’s not the anti-aliasing. Turn off the hardware acceleration (desktop > right click > properties > settings > advanced > problem solver) and it should work.
In every case where there was a problem with an ATI card, my tip worked so it’s worth a try. I’ve never had problems with AA on my pc with ATI gfx card, but I don’t have an ATI anymore, so…
You were right, it was definately anti-aliasing. It was the only option I deselected (Apparently Catalyst decided to default “Max Quality”, hence the antialiasing) and it works perfectly now. Thank you very much
