Blender switches between azerty and qwerty

I don’t know if I’m the only one with this problem but…why does blender constantly change between azerty en qwerty mode? It’s rather confusing, always having to try the 2 possible keys for Zkey, for example. You never know if you’re going to get the specials menu or if you model will be shozn in solid view  (I’m using azerty)

In the mean while I got used to it but I just thought: why don’t I ask that to the elysiun guru’s? Maybe they’ll help me and give solution?

Thanx!

It probably has something to do with the language setting of your OS, nothing to do with Blender per se, it doesn’t take care of the keyboard layout but only catch the keyboard event through the ASCII code (IIRC).

i bet on your OS you have a keyboard shortcut to toggle between these two language settings, and it happens to be a shortcut used inside blender too

in my KDE defaults, ctrl-tab is used to travel between different desktops, so I had to turn that off to use it in blender to toggle pose mode

Yes, of course!! That was it indeed. The shortcut was alt+shift. So you can imagine how much it must have switched between modes. I probably use that combination every 10 seconds
Thanks!
