Here, on xubuntu. Using XFCE. I edit app launcher directly (right click on app launcer icon). In app edit dialog, I enabled “Run in terminal”. So, terminal always open in background on my machine. (Doesnt bother me)
Seems you use gnome based app launcher? I never used Manjaro linux, but since you use gnome app launchers, there might be a very similar solution. (Edit app launcher, enable “Run in terminal”)
Please check, there might be no need to launch blender from console.
