blender to 3ds export script problem

Hi all,

unfortunately I have to export quite big amount of models (60-130 MB) to 3ds max.
Exporter is finishing OK but when I want to import the file to 3ds max I get ‘Improper file format’ error. Now I’m talking about 23MB 3ds file.

The point is that when I export only part of the model (2MB) the 3ds import works OK.

Does anybody know about the 3ds limitations? Or did you face similar problem? (I would like to avoid dividing model in 10 smaller pieces - have around 25 files :no:)
