I don’t even know if this is possible , but does anyone know of a way to export from blender to a max format ?? Have there ever been any scripts capable of this or has anyone found any other way to achieve it ?? I would appreciate any ideas if anyone knows of a way, thank you. Ideally it would accept blenders uv mapped materials .
its not going to happen
try 3ds, obj, collada
fbx support would be nice also but their sdk isnt small.
For a .fbx export you can go from Blender to Wings (v 0.98.36) via the Wavefront .obj exporter.
Then from Wings export to .fbx. This should preserve at least your meshes, materials, and uvs.
Whats an fbx file for ?? What program?? Is it widely used??
it’s a really nice relatively new open standard 3d file format from Kaydara.
It’s gaining support in many programs.
Here’s some info about it from Autodesk’s site.
Time for someone to break out the hex editor??
