Blender to Maya

How do I export a skinned character and it’s armature from Blender to Maya?

in maya, find the “import” menu, look at the file formats there
in blender look at the export menu, look at the export formats there

when there is a format in both software packages, go to wikipedia or google to see if it handles whatever you want to do with it.


Cause I don’t have Maya, and we’re not going to look it up for you unless we had to do it ourselves once for some reason :slight_smile:

i haven’t tried it for skinned animation myself, but I regularly use the fbx exporter to get assets from blender to maya and it’s pretty good really, so far it’s been the best solution as it seems to support the most stuff
