Blender to Yafray File conversion

Does anyone know how to work these converters because i dont. it someone could tell me how to convertt with any given program from a .blend to a .xml :expressionless:
Tnks

you could try yable, yet another blender exporter.
I think there’s enough info on their site so that I don’t have to give a step by step explantion.
It is a plugin for blender, and it exports xml files that you an use in yafray.

Actually its a Python script; not a plug-in 8) However, I personaly prefer Extractor or yablex. Check out Yafray.org for more info in the forums.

There is a new program called BlendXML that translates blend files into a format readable by Yafray. I just downloaded it yesterday, but I am finding it is not the most comprehensive thing in the world. No documentation, No instructions, No interface. Anyone know how to work this thing? :expressionless:

Since this post, I have downloaded Extractor. Once I got over my initial Py anxiety, I found it was a very simple to use interface with good instructions. I highly recommend this for those who need something that is easy to use, and works well. It also exports blender materials and other settings. Really neat script. BTW you do not have to even use the Py shell at all. You just open it in the text window, and hit alt P, and the interface appears in the text window. Very simple. I recommend it highly. Thanks to GuitarGeek for the script.
