Blender to YouTube

Hey Everyone:

What’s the best format, dimensions and sound/video codecs to use when you want to upload to YouTube?

I just put some of my animations up as silent avis out of Blender, and they turned out awful after YouTube converted them. And, at load time, it is also giving me this error as per the audio:

“We did not recognize the audio format for this file, but we will try to process it anyway. See this article on recommended formats for more information.”

Any help much appreciated!

i use quicktime for uploading to youtube with no issues. make sure the video is either 640x480p,720x480p.1280x720p,1920x1080p. is what i find works best for youtube. i find that the blender 4:3 presets (NTSC 4:3: 720x486, PAL 4:3: 720x576) don’t work for youtube.
