Blender translation in other language

I noticed several locales in Blender folder and I was wondering how could one translate Blender in his native language?

7000 strings to translate?! I guess it would take me a year to do it alone. :slight_smile:

But if you find a few friends you can then do it in a few months.

Besides you don’t have to do them all for it to be useful. You just start with the more obvious ones first. Although 10 language translations are “complete” there are almost twice that in various states of completion.

You could even use a tool like Google Translate on all the strings then start hand editing the result, starting with the most obvious one like menu names, interfaces, etc.
