Blender Unity Mecanim Rig

Hi all,

I’m currently working on creating a Unity Mecanim compatible rig that has all controls necessary for animating in Blender.

I have attached the rig so far and would really appreciate some help getting over some of the hurdles I’ve come across.

My current issue is I’m trying to set up drivers to control the same way its set up in unity. Which has the conrols for the upper arm bone of: Arm Up-Down, Arm Front-Back and Arm Twist In-Out.

My problem is that I don’t know how to set up a property to drive several values of a quaterenion at once and to keep the manipulations in the local axis.

Any advice on how to fix this?

I think my first question was not particular well articulated, regardless it was relatively simple to solve using Different ordering on Euler angles.

Question: Do action constraints work when the action used is created by keyframeing drivers? My test indicates that actions created using drivers will not work with the action constraint. Is that an easy work around for this?

I am not sure what you are trying to say. but you can animate the drivers as well. like on 1st frame “Spine Front Back” hover your mouse and Press i , it will put the value in frist frame. No move 20 frames forward, turn down “spine front back” to 0 and press “i” while hovering mouse over slider.

You have an animation.
