Welcome to the Blender Week Day Challenge #0035!

The list is made up of three organic and three inorganic topics and participants choose one of each category to model. Participants need to pick two items off the list to model (one from each category).

For examples of previous entries please see the gallery

All the models should be original. You can use any software you want as long as you use Blender somewhere in your modeling workflow. Also please state any non-blender software you have used for your model.

If you’re feeling generous why not add the models you create for this challenge to the Official Blender Model Repository and if you want to make your blend files available under the Creative Commons Attribution-Non-Commercial 3.0 Unported Licence just email them to me at [email protected] and I’ll host them on the www.blenderchallenge.com website.

Any wireframes posted will be added to the voting thread (If you don’t know how to make a wireframe check out the tutorial)

Check out the BlenderChallenge.com website for the full list of rules, challenge archives and all the latest news.

Note: If you post up more than one render of your model (excluding wireframes) please state which one we should use for the voting thread.

Hey, I haven’t done one of these in quite a while. The oil lamp is so tempting…(Sebastian_k, by the way, nice one)
I don’t think I’ll have time though…

Wow, fantastic video, I’ve linked to it from the blenderchallenge.com website

EDIT: Don’t have enough time this week to complete this with my own projects and school. Good luck with the competition and I will try and get in the next one!

hi i wont be posting any models in this weeks challenge. I dont have enough time cos of m exams. sebastian_k can you pls tell me what you used to make your video?

hey mahela, thanks!
i used the trial version of camtasia: http://www.techsmith.de/camtasia.asp
it’s really a great program and surely worth it’s price.
oh and besides, editing (audio, titles, cut etc.) and encoding were of course done in blender :eyebrowlift:

thanks… Once again, great models!!!

thats really good sebastion. infact it’s so good i thought you had cheated before watching the video. the background made me think you had just loaded a picture into gimp and traced the wireframe over the pic in a seperate layer… how long did that take you in real time?

naahh,… it’s not that good.
but thanks a lot! it took me something in between 2 and 4 hours.

I know i said I wont post any model in this challenge but I had this model of a fire extinguisher I made some time ago so I’m putting it up on the contest Anyone have any comments on this model? ( I’ve still used blender for less than six months.)

Just to let everybody know… I may not be able to close this challenge until sunday evening as I’ll be in London for the weekend and I don’t know if the hotel has wifi.

Well, I guess I’m the first one to post a socket. Not very good but I gave it a shot!

One outlet has a ground and the other doesn’t =/

Congratulations to sebastian_k, winner of challenge #0035, for scaring everybody off with your fantastic entries!
