Blender will not open

I had Blender 2.66a installed, and I had 2.68a downloaded…

I was using 2.68a without issues, and Iwas told to uninstall 2.66a… I did so and now 2.68a will not ope… The Icon appears in my Dash[Taskbar for Ubuntu Unity 13.04] for half a second than vanishes… is this an issue for having uninstalled?

Uninstall both. Do a restart. Then reinstall 2.68a. The restart should fix registry issues.

GLakie: 2.68a was not directly installed… simply downloaded…

Should I also Adress that I am using Ubuntu 13.04 as my OS?
