Negative:
translation of documentation for non-English users become obsolete very quickly…
If you learn blender and want to say switch to maya or 3dsmax you will pick it up quickly
so many will opt for stability

Awkward question in this connection: Blender is developed only for the English segment of users or for the entire community?
You really think with most of the developers being from different nationalities that speak different languages…that they would only develop it for the “English speaking segment of users”?
SaintHaven, I don’t think I see it…and it’s sad
I’m french and my blender is in english to be helped, to follow tutorial etc
It’s not a problem I think.
English is just the standard as far as 3d applications go, so you will see more of that. There are translations for other languages though, like everything open source though, it requires volunteers to do it. The only issue you can find is with the keymap choices, which has things like “g” for “grab” and “r” for rotate. This doesnt consider english speakers, but its also not the biggest deal. Some have already commented that hotkey location should be picked based on convenience and design, not letters associated with words.
pitiwazou, this is not a problem for older fans, but the problem for the attraction is not English-speaking beginners. Here and ask for whom the new interface
SaintHaven, i write about newbies and in fact, no offense, please.
When I started 3D in 99, lot software where in english and I didn’t understand, but because I was interrested, I learned english.
Bad idea to take deutch in first
Beginners can see tutorials in lot of languages and blender is translated too.

Where not English users can watch the lessons in their native languages? Their transfer still have… and so normally translate need specialists-technologists enthusiasts (!), that little… it’s long, actually all… Blender very quickly the interface changes:), many lost hunting… They learn more than translating for the learning of others…
I think you are putting your sentiment above reason at this point. If you dont like the changes, stick to the version you are comfortable with. If you have been using Blender for as long as your user name, then you would be aware that the same thing happened with 2.49 to 2.5, now arguably everyone says its better. The same thing is happening with 2.7, and it will undoubtedly happen again. Development isnt going to stop because you are upset about it, just use the version you are happy with now and give it some time. Time is key.
SaintHaven, you are have exclusive rights? Your tone is very proud and arrogant… See what happens when people realize that their stupid fool
Question, if you are complaining about the English language and clearly have trouble making use of it to articulate your posts, why then do you think its logical to come to the conclusion you understand someone’s “tone”, especially with just text? This is why I use the word “confirmation bias”.
SaintHaven, you won And I realized that Blender is doomed… because it is only for English develop users, but not from other language community. И вообще я могу послать тебя нахер… трудись, переводи, встань теперь в моё положение, олень напыщеный
Blender is developed for the entire community, mainly by a company which has its headquarters in amsterdam (Netherlands).
There are countless tutorials in different languages than english. Just search for them.
There are also translated versions of Blender.
EVERY 3d-package is developed in english. Wouldn’t make sense to develop in many languages.
Nice language there, bud. Thanks for showing your age. There is no reason for your hostility, towards, me, andrew price or any of this development. If a computer application is making you this upset, then that is not healthy behavior.
Tabs are looking quite nice now with recent tweaks. Suggestions: please unhook tabs text from region transparency - as it stands making your region transparent makes the text blend with the tab. IMO tabs should get their own set of colors in the theme panel independent of everything else.
Also the readability issue is worsened by using lowercase. Consider smallcaps or uppercase. Vertical text still a big +1.
I would still consider pure icons for the tabs. This works already for the tab buttons in the Properties since eons. Maybe when the devs have lots of time this could even be modal. Either text or icons. Dreaming …
the bulk of the devs and Ton who is the one who started this all are not english. What do you think?
There are tons of tutorials on youtube in all different languages. As with all software there a pockets of users all over the world. They start in one language and then translators translate it. This is no different here then any other software community in the world.
I dont know what this means or has to do with the post you took this quote from.
